RSW Maintenance

The Lee County Port Authority hired Wright Construction to provide services for an expansion project to the west side of the existing two-story facility, totaling 5,225 SF. The new apparatus bays were equipped with new vehicle lifts, a gantry crane, and a state-of-the-art electrical distribution system that is easily re-configurable for future needs. Surrounding the new work bays are welding, fabrication, lock, and sign shops along with tire storage, lubrication, and storage rooms. These local resources enabled the Port Authority staff to quickly respond to any maintenance needs of the airport or equipment.
Additional renovations in the existing building consisted of a complete overhaul of the 2,665 SF 1st floor and the 3,250 SF 2nd floor. The interior makeover included new entry stairwells to the upstairs which included offices, windows, break rooms, ADA chair lifts, and restrooms. The roof system of the existing building was completely replaced as well as all HVAC units in the process. The parking lot of the facility is also being expanded to accommodate the new influx of traffic. The area that was previously an unused grass field space has now been outfitted with drainage and paved with new asphalt.
