Shell Point Admin and Rehab

The new construction of the administration and rehabilitation additions to the existing Nursing Pavilion required extensive underground utility coordination and relocation. Wright started by performing Ground Penetrating Radar Services to identify existing utilities on this 40-year-old campus. An extensive redesign was required by Johnson Engineering to relocate utilities to work with the building footprint. In addition, once the construction began, a temporary partition was built to separate the building from the new construction. Air Scrubbers and Hepa filters were utilized when the temporary partitions were installed or removed to comply with AHCA air quality standards. New electrical service conduits, fire alarm, fire sprinkler, and nurse call systems were required to be installed in the existing building requiring close coordination with the staff and patient activities. Existing operations were ongoing and uninterrupted during the entire project.
