Shell Point LifeQuest Aquatic Center

The Shell Point LifeQuest Aquatic Center was designed with an “Old Florida” flair and includes 3 pools with complete bathhouse facilities and support structures. The main pool boasts a ramp entry, a shallow sitting area, an asymmetrical deep area, and multiple lap lanes. The exercise pool has a handicapped entry with handrails surrounding the pool to aid in activities. The center also has a large spa. The “Old Florida Style” bathhouse with siding, metal roof, and cupola contains men’s and woman’s restrooms, showers, and dressing areas. The pools are surrounded by a brick paver deck which contains multiple large planters with trees and shrubs along with bollard style LED lighting. Also on the deck is a traditional Seminole Chickee Hut, a large shade sail over the exercise pool, a cantilevered shade over the shallow sitting area, and a 6’ tall rock feature with falling water into a pond-like pool. The Aquatic Center is surrounded by a decorative aluminum handrail. The new parking area for the center is designed with pervious pavers with under pavement retention needed due to the limited available green areas.
