Mile Marker 63 Public Safety Center
Design Build Services were employed for the Collier County new Public Safety Facility along with two large National Park Service (NPS) Access Area Parking Lots servicing the Florida Trail. All components were constructed in the heart of the Everglades, a federally protected wilderness on I-75 at Mile Marker 63. The public safety center will accommodate four to six Collier County EMS personnel greatly enhancing public safety on the Alley. Each NPS Access Area accommodates up to 15 vehicles and 25 trucks or trailers.
Equipment and vehicle maintenance and storage bays support the need for emergency service in the remote location. The building includes housing, offices, exercise room and full kitchen/dining areas.
The project has been certified LEED GOLD.
